Dr. Shivanand Bandekar is presently working as the Dean at Goa Medical College, Bambolim, Goa. He has 28 years of extensive teaching & clinical experience. He is an eminent personality in the field of Orthopedic procedures and his expertise lies in providing complete patient care while performing all procedures with complete precision.
His rich surgical & clinical experience is backed by several national & international fellowships. The dedicated and consistent efforts made by Dr. Bandekar in the field of Orthopedics have helped in his services getting well recognized and appreciated amongst the medical fraternity. For his outstanding contribution, sound clinical judgment and fine surgical skills, he has also been facilitated many a times by globally recognized & reputed institutions. He has gained mastery in surgeries, namely, trauma – including pelvic & spinal trauma, arthroscopy, arthroplasty etc.

Arthroscopy – Diagnostic, Meniscectomies, ACL Reconstruction.
Arthroplasty – Hip Replacements – Cemented / Uncemented, CPT, C – stem, S – Rom, Wagnors cage with femoral prosthesis.
Knee — PFC de-puy, next – gen zimmer, pfc-cr, tc-3, rhk – knee – zimmer, high-flex fixed bearing.
Spine – Harrington instrumentation, pedicular screw, hartshill rectangle.
